Gossip
Spreads like wildfire
To all the trees in the forest
Speeds around a track like a race car
No one knows where it will crash and burn
It's like a disease
Trapping anyone and everyone in its path
Corrupting kids, and ruining lives
All at once
Does anyone even have the heart to stop it?
Words get jumbled
The so-called truth is twisted some more
Over and over again
To entertain some, and shock others
It hurts, more than people want to admit
It can't be stopped
It should be stopped
But it never will
