Dear Literary Canon Board of Directors,

I am writing this letter because I feel that the author David Benioff should be in the literary canon. His book is one of the most passionate, motivating, thrilling, action packed and heart warming book that has ever been written.

The first reason I believe City of Thieves should be included in the literary canon is that it is more than just a book, It’s a story, a life changing experience about a boy facing the struggles of WWII

The second reason is that it has the same traits from other books such as Romio and Juliet telling a classic story of love and the struggles of real situations that happened during WWII

The final reason is that this is a book that you could read at anytime in the future and still have your jaw drop at the end of the book, It keeps you on your feet at all times during every page and sentence.

As you can see, City of Thieves is deserving of the literary canon because it has classic features such as telling a story where you feel like you are the one there through out the book, It has all of the categories in this one book and for some this could change there lives.

I hope that you will consider this choice for the literary canon. Thank you very much.

Sincerely,

Elijah Z.
