Me and my Soccer Ball
Gathering dust upon my wall,
Is a picture of me with a soccer ball.
So young, so innocent, so carefree,
Nothing else seemed to matter to me.
While running down the field to score,
Life wasn’t so complicated anymore.
Through the heat and the rain we would play,
And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Now, countless practices spent with friends,
All seem to be coming to an end.
I’ll always remember how a sport got me so excited,
And I’ll never forget my team, the United.
