Do You Remember?
Do you remember?
The time that flew by?
As slowly the mirage consumed us
It seemed . . . so fast
And yet agonizingly slow
No?
You don’t remember?
Maybe because it only consumed me
Because you left me
Dying
Alone in the desert
My deliria slowly consuming
It was only a matter of time
Before it would all end
And you would abandon me
The ants Waiting
Waiting
Waiting
Until the time comes
And their feast begins
The time flies by
The end is fast approaching
The clocks are melting
And Slowly
Slowly
Slowly
I am consumed
Consumed by the mirage
Consumed by time
Do you remember?
Yes
You do
And the memory persists
Will always persist
And in its track a sense of guilt
Guilt for the abandonment
The memory persists
