Goodbye
I can’t pretend anymore,
It did happen… it did.
I can’t forget the past,
Nor can I relive it.
It’s like you died.
No, you did.
The person I knew died.
You… are gone.
You’ve been buried,
And I’ve grieved.
But the thing is
I’m okay with that.
Once you die,
You can’t come back.
And unfortunately,
My self-respect has died with you.
But it’s time to look up,
Because death is always going to remain
Exactly the same.
So… goodbye.
