Seeing Eyes
Through their eyes,
I'm strong.
Through their eyes,
I'm a leader.
Through their eyes,
they see me as a whole.
Except through my eyes,
I'm weak.
Through my eyes,
I have no idea what I'm doing.
Through my eyes,
I'm incomplete.
Through my eyes,
I'm invisible.
It's all confusing,
and I don't know what to do.
I've got two different sides to me,
and I don't know whose going to win.
How people see these things,
I don't know.
Who is this person they're describing?
This calm, confident, strong girl.
I'm none of those things yet,
but I hope to be soon.
I'm going to try to live up to her.
I hope I make her proud.
