Darkness surrounds me,
Engulfing me.
A long, narrow tunnel;
I'm just as far in
As I'll ever be out.
No escape in sight.
Suddenly I see a light
At the far end of the tunnel.
I move toward the light,
Knowing what it holds can't be worse
Than what I've already been through.
I reach the light.
I find you.
The darkness disappears
And is replaced by light.
You saved me.
