Fog
A blurry white, thick in the air
engulfing all in its path.
Eyes dart, trying to pierce
pierce through the cotton swab
and peek through to see
all that it is hiding before your face.
Where did the tree go,
it was right there a second ago?
all I can see is the
white blanket
smothering all
and devouring anything that doesn't escape
its ire.
Trees like warriors
branches drawn like swords
pierce through the intruder
reaching out,
It tries to claw through the damp.
