Favorite Quote:
“We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.” — Anais Nin

Listen for a child's laugh,
Just a touch of innocence.
She'd never see it coming,
She'll see the world for what it is.
A little heart that's just too trusting,
For being as alone as she is.

And she'll cry because she barely understands,
How do you get up and walk again?
Get out of the clutches of the thief.
But she's too scared, doesn't know how to leave.
Is it better left unopened, unsaid,
And how do you even get the power to stand?
When you're forced to grow up more in a minute,
Then you will for the rest of your life.
