One Special Person
There’s that one special person,
The one who changes everything.
From the beginning, you had that feeling.
The feeling that never goes away.
That’s it, the feeling, the nerves,
The butterflies in your stomach,
The way it’s hard to breathe around them,
Yet in a way, it is comforting.
Just knowing you get to see their face,
And hear their voice, it relaxes you.
As time goes by, things start to change,
But that person always stays the same.
You can’t stop thinking about them,
They make you feel beautiful and on top of the world.
Even on a day where everything appears to be going wrong,
One smile from them makes you melt.
Every poem you read reminds you of them,
Each song that you hear brings them to mind.
And no matter the distance, near or far,
This one special person remains in your heart.
