Confusion
A million thoughts trapped in one mind,
Vying for attention stretched too thin.
Screaming and yelling, important words to speak,
But the ears are listening to something far.
Jumping in front of a face, waiting to be seen,
Eyes focused on daydreams ten years old.
Words prying their way out into the light,
Slamming into the locked door of a mouth.
Hands reaching to embrace something, someone,
Clenched into balls of fists.
Fingers outstretched to catch sunshine,
Too crossed to feel it's warmth.
