Children in the Snow
Children in the snow
watch as they come
watch as they go
frost on their breath
and warmth in their souls
they love the spirit
and their playtime roles
they will always act
on some deep level, or two
like the heroes of their stories
it's what we all do.
The way of the child
is a path full of fruit
and beautiful music
charmed from the lute
the past is cold
and the present is hot
burning in the eyes
of each and every tot
children in the snow
and what they reap
is what they sow
with frost on their chins
and big silly grins
they warm the world
they warm the world
