A Nightmare of Mine (Elaine's Murder)
Dressed in white robes a lady walks
Past the haunted halls of the manor
In which she stalks
The person who was a suspect of murder in a nightmare of mine
He sits, wondering, thinking, pondering asking himself why he tied that rope around her neck that windy rainy day He says it was out of love but how do we know it is for sure? She enters his room without him knowing whether he hears a moan or if it is one of the many tricks our mind plays on us
She grabs the hammer she saw on her way to right the wrong he did
Slowly carefully she struck him, so gently floated away
At his funeral she wandered floating across the hollowed ground
In a nightmare of mine
