If You Blink, You're Gonna Miss Something

So as the sun sinks in the sky
setting with the blink of an eye
savor the sight
and never let it die.

The author's comments:

My poem is inspired by my camp director, June Grey. She would always remind us at camp, "Don't blink, or else you'll miss something." It was true, the summers really flew by with the blink of an eye. In my poem, the sun is a metaphor for life. It goes by so quickly, so we all need to enjoy it and savor the happy moments.
