A Rocky Road
A punch, and a second
A kick to the stomach
Silently wishing for the bell
Salvation from the harsh high school
A rescuing hand pulls the jock-lettered jacket
And the attacker is gone.
A purple face and a bloody lip later the nerd feels like a road,
Heavily driven upon
As he lays in the gutter
His body molds flat
And the purple, red, and tan that makes up his appearance
Mixes together and black, deep as night
Shines like an evil
And a yellow stripe shows like a sun on his chest,
Leg
And he suddenly is the road he felt like.
Empathy welled inside him for the asphalt
And a car passed harmlessly over him
