The Storm Calm
The sky is no longer a heavenly blue
But a misty, rainy blue
The white fluffy clouds now ominous storm clouds
My mood turning with it to that same moody blue
The still water in the lake turns dark and rippled
My bewitching blue eyes turn to the house,
The grand house with its black tulip colors
I go inside, sensing a fierce storm approaching
The inside filled with pewter greens and ripe olives,
I lay my head upon my kimono violet pillow
Softly drifting into a silver night dream
The storm has passed and I awaken to see a clear magical twilight purple sky
The clouds vary from mature grape to whistling Dixie,
This is my haven, my sanctuary, this night, this moment
Where all is now calm after such a storm
This is where all is sheer beauty.
