Reflection I've Never Seen
Reflection I've never seen
Something I wish to leave
Behind incased in fragile hope
Will hold and keep from me
Despair, for it reaches out
As limp fingers brush
The smooth then rippled mirror
To stare with cold eyes, unjust
Face I don't acknowledge
But colors just the same
As it was when times were sweet
But now it screams of shame
Where it's from, this face
Lost for its will to smile
Beauty in hazy contour, true
But adrift from life, for miles
Soul in heart is lost
For the seeing window is too
Glazed over with sorrow
Bright sky is now vacant blue
Reflection I've never seen
Has time taken over me?
To leave this bleak face
That wishes for most to be free
