Dancing with Dream
The face of conscience tale
Of countless wants and needs
Bows to me with eyes of sleep
And extends his phantom hand
Melodic harmony drones out serene
While we glide and follow with tune
Pastel lights flicker, distorting shadow
But all details slip away, can't hold
Naturally dazzled by perfection
Of gleaming eyes, striking splendor
Failing to grasp, condescending truth
That as reverie forms, I'll lose
He will depart and vanish in light
As listless humor wins once more
And vacant sight will arouse to see
To dance with dream is to lose reality
