the Scarlet flickering like the sunset ray
blazing boils chill the skin
it’s as those foul flames feign to be my dear kin
indeed, a sheer diaphanous cobweb lay
a shallow smile upon the lips of the fire
Candid, Naïve, Cryptic, Elfin
but look, the nefarious midnight comes to sin
detrimental has become man’s shire
