This Bleeding Turtle

I see a bleeding turtle
floating above a rock
It starts coming towards me
to give me its shell
I try to understand why this bleeding turtle
is giving me its only protection
when it needs protection
itself
This turtles blood drips on my skin
a sensation i never felt before
is now crawling up my body
I notice that this turtle I saw
was now a human
but now i realize that i am a turtle with no shell
The human sadly died
but it gave me its protection
and now i live on
