He'll Always Be Eighteen
December. The snow on the ground
The leave less trees, and your old beat up Volkswagen bus
The cheesiest smile and the prettiest blue eyes!
To top it off, your rockin’ afro.
How did you even comb that thing?
You pulled it off, the perfect picture,
All it needs is a superb headline
Unlike the grievous one in the newspaper that Nov. day
The world seems bitter, happiness is no longer a word
And needing you is my greatest aspiration.
You’ve opened eyes, and touched hearts.
And made living life to the fullest the coolest quota
As well as posing with a peace sign.
You’ll never be forgotten, you’ll always be the same ol’ Jake
Asking for gas money and living in the wrong era
He’ll always be eighteen.
