the photograph
she smiles in a still existence. nothing is running by her, nothing is intruding. a silent image of a place in time. it does not show what is around her, you can not see what goes through her mind. the photograph will not show the pain sh eholds in her hands, her fingers wrapped around his. it will not tell you if the sweat upon her face is from a hot summer day or if it comes from being so nervous to lose the hand she holds. the photograph will not talk to you about the worry in her eyes, you can not see what lies ahead. it will never tattle, because like the people in it, the photograph's secrets are frozen in the past. she smiles in her still existence, but the photograph will never show hhow long the smile lasts after the flash has faded.
