School
I walk into the bright building.
The fluorescent lighting burns my eyes.
I want to go home.
Fractions hurt my brain.
I really think I’ve done enough history worksheets.
PE seems to run on for forever.
People screeching on their violins make me have chills.
Poetry again?
Cells are confusing in science.
In Spanish, I ask myself, “Wait, what did she just say?”
Even though school can be just pure torture,
Hopefully it’ll all pay off, one day.
Whenever I have a bad day,
I’ll think about the days ahead,
And look forward to tomorrow.
School is like dinner, the best part is last.
