My Daddy, The Soldier
Dear Mrs. Myer
The poem “My Daddy the Soldier” by Caroline Bybee.
My daddy the soldier
In the war of Iraq
Never came back
This poem has inspired me to a memory of what my dad was like when he was in a war. He did come back safe and sound and he told me all about it and it was awesome. But like in the poem it was true, never make a promise that you know might not come true. But, my dad made a promise that he knew was true and he did come back from an awful war safe and sound.
Sincerely,
