Thin Air
Breathing, my air is yellow
as the sun floats, rising
over a sea, stagnant and hazy
rising into my fragile arms, to me
I am burning, and my breath quickens
face slick with ash and dead heat
my fingernails are leaving crescent marks as
I breath out through my teeth
and the sun is rising out
floating high
