I don’t want to get old and forget my name,
Lose my strength or become lame.

I don’t want to be wrinkled or saggy skinned,
Filled with knots and unable to bend.

And I really would like to keep my hair,
The color that is already there.

I don’t want to lose my teeth, or cough and wheeze,
And it would be nice to stay mostly free of disease.

But if this is the price I have to pay,
To fill my life with memory,

Then rent me a walker for 2080,
Cause I’m going to need it, and I want to be ready.

For I want to look back on my many years,
And laugh and smile and shed some tears,

For living until a very old age,
Despite the price I'll have to pay.

But I’ve got to say, I think it’s worth it,
To get those memories I’ll never forfeit.
