Whatever makes you happy
Why must we wake and eat.
The body is picked and decaying but,
he flies too and I kiss him gently.
The body elevates wonderfully,
it’s like a magic trick sent from heaven.
But this boy didn’t fall from the sky,
he took an elevator from the negative level,
to here ground zero.
Ask me why and I’ll tell, but keep it a secret, tell everyone.
The meadow down the street,
full of life and bodies of brick and stone,
left from the party last winter.
Their souls free, but fingers reaching,
Reaching for a greater cause.
Over the ocean into the sky,
in the clouds they remain, and they may say,
How did we come to this?
