Ode to Being Ched
Young cheds are unique
They are rare to run into
The possibility is like awaiting a shooting star
Experiences are extreme
Not everyone is able to experience them
From riding a horse to walking thousands of miles;
Crossing the border
Maturity begins at a very young age
It builds up to responsibility
Which becomes daily basis at age eleven
Cleberness is like a treasure of gold
Vital to survival in this type of life;
From not being ripped off to not being caught
Every ched stands out,
High and tall
Low or short
We stand
Our stunning tejanas separaten us from others;
Our ostrich, crocodile, and armadillo boots as well
I love being ched and I am proud of it
