Cheerleading
I started when I was in the fifth grade,
With my closest friend and five other girls.
It was the greatest sport I ever made;
I especially loved the bouncy curls.
The very moment I stepped on the floor,
I knew that this sport was meant for me.
This was a feeling I couldn’t ignore;
Everything about this was meant to be.
While in Peoria, we took first place,
An amazing feat with so few of us.
Everyone now knew we were in the race,
And winning again, we knew was a must.
Even though the season’s over for now,
To get these wins again, we now know how.
