A Senior's Sonnet
My last year of high school has come finally
Wanting this year to travel by fast
Though memories I save I want to last
This year much stress has fallen on me
Especially earning all that tuition money
All these great stories soon to be my past
But on to better things to which I will cast
This senior year has filled my with tons of sadness and glee
I’m nervous for college because it’s so new
Glad to start but still with much fear
Hoping everything goes right I pray to the lord
I’m working for my dreams that I wish to pursue
Filling this day is coming so near
Now all that’s left is to cut the cord
