A day filled with hate,
9/1 was the date.
A normal morning drifted away,
While unprepared what came our way.
The Twin Towers stood bold and strong,
Not thinking anything could go wrong.
Planes crashed, and buildings tumbled,
People suffered and concrete crumbled.
As black smoke filled the air,
All we could do was stop and stare.
Firefighter’s loud calling,
And innocent people desperately falling,
Some witnessed a tragic story,
While many others in the street rejoiced their new found glory.
9/11 was a work day,
After the tragedy it became a dreaded day.
