mother and i
Mother and I
A mother picks the boy up from practice
The she arrives at the parking lot with an emotionless face
The boy gets into the car
The mother sits in the car quietly
They drive to the house
The mother tells the boy to take out the trash
The mother puts the dinner on the table then leaves to go in her room
On Monday through Friday my mom picks me up from practice
She drives up, I don’t notice her face
I get into the car
She says nothing to me
We drive to the house she tells me to take the trash out
I do so
She puts my dinner on the table and goes to her room
