Glass Wall
Silenced behind a wall of glass,
You can see me, but hear not a sound,
You watch me cry tears and watch me break in two
But not a sound meets your ears-
Never, not a one,
All alone I sit;
Wishing someone could hear my
Desperate pleas for help,
Screaming, crying, shaking,
Please listen!
No one looks beneath the surface,
No one tries to break the glass.
Everyone sees me, but they’re
All to afraid.
To listen to me, to know me,
To get to know me,
To let my voice be heard,
So for now, and maybe forever on,
I sit silenced behind a glass wall.
Screaming. Crying. Shaking.
