Fall into Darkness
I'm falling into my own demise,
Can no one see the tears I cry?
I call out to all who can hear,
But still no one will lend me their ear.
Trapped between worlds in state of mind,
My life falls apart as I look behind.
No shoulder now to rest my head,
All who cared are gone or dead.
The devil taunts me as he drags me down,
I lose all chance as I fall to the ground.
I hear the whisper of the ice cold rain,
They tell me stories now and again.
Why is this happening? Was it something I did?
Was it something I said? Was it how I lived?
Depression seems to get the best of us all,
But the greatest challenge is learning not to fall.
