Where I'm From..
I am from iced tea, from Nestea and powder. I am from brown, crunchy dead grass. I am from the tall cedar trees, the thick bark.
I am from opening presents and tall stature, from Chip and grandpa and Chase. I am from the couch potatoes and the Longhorn fanatics. From "Stop eating the sand," and "Let's take a nap." I am from hope and my name being written in the Book Of Life.
I'm from Texas and Italian spaghetti with meatballs at Christmas. From the time Chip and Guy set the garage on fire and the water hose from saving their butts, and the time Chase jumped out of the second story window. I am from the family of four happy people. Hanging in the hallway, cherished, sunlit, and rooted in love.
