The Doorbell

Its all that binds me
every one of my Worries coming back again
all in the simplistic sound of the Ring
ring
ring
ring, its all I ever hear
It brings with it relief
and at the same time pain
ring, ring, ring,
It happens again, the recurring Fight
i see, i feel, i hear it all in my
Mind
It is him
Him
once again on my doorstep
Him
coming to distance them more from me
Him
He does not stop, He never will
bringing sadness to our lives
and helping me at the same time
pity Him
for he is alone
alone
alone
while I am left with
Them
my Sorrow and my Savior.

The author's comments:
This is inspired by how i feel every time my step father comes to pick up my younger brothers for his visitation hours. My mother and him are divorced and i strongly dislike him. When he takes my brothers i feel separated from them. Two of my brothers dislike him as well and they are what i call my sorrow and my savior at the end of the poem. I wrote this one day after I felt especially sad and it helped me to get my emotions out.
