Fall and You
Smell the leaves
Feel the breeze
Hear the birds
See stars on every eve
The air is crisp
I see you there
I love the way the wind blows your hair.
You catch me staring
I turn away.
Walking along in the evening
after the game,
the trees whisper,
the stars abjuring the spotlight
make me think humbly.
The world is so great
What is its grand scheme?
Does it involve you and me?
I suppose i shall let it be.
Day breaks later now
Coffee, pumpkin spice, is brewing.
You are sitting in my kitchen,
I furrow my brow.
"Hello" you say.
"Good day"
What will this lead to
before the world turns gray?
