To Love a Leaf

The tiny leaf
of an empty grain
it sets
upon the plain
the weavened leaves of copper kind
so silky touch
so silky fine
I lay about the golden fields
I am aware
but I do not yeilld
I am filled with such moral relief
oh how can you say
I love a leaf
