Lipstick MAG
Come, let us tie rocks to our eyelashes
(golden brooches to sunburned toes)
and toss them into the bonfire ashes
so one part of us doesn't have to go.
Saturated with expectations,
fairly bursting at bikini seams,
playing catch-me-if-you-can
on the dark side of the American dream.
Candy cancer in our mouths, PBR on
our lips,
stars in our eyes and honey in our hips
Let us speak of lipstick revelations
and misunderstand what we mean.
