THE PERFECT MOMENT

On the edge,
Lost in this moment,
So perfect and sweet.
I know when I think back,
A sigh…I’ll wish I hadn’t.
But does the thought
Of what will happen after
Ever dare intrude
Into the still darkness
Of a perfect moment?
Do we listen
To the faint whisper deep inside?
I plunge into the uncertain,
I wonder, Should I?
How do you know when to fold?
To reveal the dark corners
Of a scared heart?
Just take a chance,
A chance to make
The perfect moment last.
