Rewarding

Water dripping from the roof,
sliding down the metal doors
till finally, hitting the bright green grass. at the speed of a snail.

Sun hits just at the right angle causing it to glisten.
A smile slid across my face, full of pride
the hours of that day were made for me.

The trees leaving there shadows falling around me
as i let the watery rag suds up the green painted metal.
Taking the hose and rinsing away the dirt from over the years, as the paint begins to glisten.
At that moment i realized that it was all worth it.

The piece i have written is just of washing a car in the middle of the day, but by looking deep into the words you can see many other stories being told.
