Pain is a highway
You get on it, you get off
It stretches on for miles
As time flashes by
Pain is a thunderstorm
A lightning strike of scorn
A numbing blanket of comfort
The salt to your tears
Pain can be a sunrise
That pierces your eyes
A beauty you can’t bare
A glorious way to die
