I lie awake and wonder
Who it is I am?
What do I keep searching for?
I’m tired of being hurt
I’m tired of being broken
Wishing the pain would leave
Standing in the rain crying and hoping
Someone will come and save me
No one really sees the stranger inside of me
The girl who use to be whole and sweet
The one who could get through anything
She’s fading away and fading fast
Fading back into the past
