The One Day I Believed
I ran away to a place where thoughts free flow
And where the sweet things always grow
After I was out of breath
Hollow inside I had nothing left
When you leave so do I
And when you jump I don’t fly
Just like you I fall to the ground
Love is lost easier than found
I hoped the meaning of life would show up someday
And I dreamed and prayed that you could stay
But it’s better I never got my way
A hundred miles away from you
A distance long overdue
I’m on Earth and you may be on Mars
I wish I could find your face in the stars
I can whisper away
And slowly decay
And there are wounds I can’t soothe
And there is love I can’t lose
So far away from me
I can’t believe you are free
I hope one day you see my face
Somwhere in your resting place
And I hope you are in the sky
My angel, now you can fly
