My Favorite Color
You are my sweetest flower.
You are my favorite sports team.
You are my tallest tower.
You are my truest day dream:
Not disappearing when I blink,
nor when my mind begins to think
that all of this is in my head
and you’ll turn into what I dread.
You are my fondest memory.
You are my summer breeze.
You are my closest family.
You are my loudest sneeze:
Cleaning me from inside out,
like the snot flies from my snout.
Echoing for all to hear,
showing off who you hold dear.
You are my brightest day.
You are my favorite color.
You are my happy place.
You are my millionth dollar:
A person like all the rest,
but truly you are the best.
The one I’ve saved for all this time.
Now I can finally call you mine.
