Ode To Winter
You are a disease, taking over so suddenly
you've frozen the tips of my fingers and nose
with just a hug of your breath.
Slowly and so sneaky you froze and took my warmth away.
You struck so many of my loved ones, like lightening.
How easy would it be for you to take your thunderbolt of winter and strike me as well.
Leaving my conflicts here for good.
You coldness, take me! Take me away!
Take me, hit me, with your cold fiery air.
Though, you always have me hesitating...
Do I even want to leave here?
To have you win, and I, to lose?
No...I wish to feel the heat for another day.
