Slow motion takes toll, what’s the time?
You’re nothing but weighing distractions
Intruding on hopes that I climb

Your calls in the middle of nighttime
May numb my emotions at first
A stranger comes forth as the clock chimes
I fear with more pressure I’ll burst

Your kind words cause flinches of worry
Regret I ignored common sense
But blinded your eyes are left blurry
Invested time gone to expense

Inherently formed from a small speck
Don’t know me as well as you should
Boat sailed but it ended in shipwreck
Too late, I’m stuck misunderstood
