"I’m going to be someone someday”
On the cusp of 18,
Don’t we all feel this way?
Expected to differentiate between
Dreams and realities
No longer will I follow this society.
My dreams will be reality
Leaving behind my insecurity
So follow me, a new society, built of dreams.
In a condescending tone you’ll tell me the improbability,
But I’ll just smile and say, wait and see.
It only takes two or three who believe.
Are your minds still closed tight?
Haven’t I convinced you of my impending might?
I can see your still chained to conformity, but I’ve found the key, it’s destiny.
Someday, someone will believe in me.
