The memories flood in like a tide.
The memories flood in like a tide.
Silence suddenly overcomes me.
I don't know what to do.
I don't know what to feel.
Remember that little girl on the wooden swing?
Surrounded by the blooming flowers of Spring.
Laughter echoes all around.
The giggle of a happy child.
Running aimlessly.
No destinations.
No expectations.
Snapped back to reality.
That little girl grew up, didn't she?
She's in situations she'd never thought of before.
Everything is growing around her.
Does she have to grow too?
Why can't she stay a child forever?
No destinations.
No expectations.
You know what?
Peter Pan is coming some day,
To take her away.
Because she doesn't want to grow up.
