Love Finds Its Way
We were sitting on the grass
It was in the fall and it was kind of freezing
But we were drinking hot cocoa that was steaming
Your friend came up and I nodded in greeting
He got close to me and I started wheezing
This all felt like i was dreaming
I don't even know why I felt like I was sleeping
In my hand, tightly, I held your ring
It was your death i was grieving
And soon, I started screaming
I started to yell for you to come back, I was pleading
And soon, I realized how bad I was weeping
My hand, your friend, was squeezing
This all felt like cheating
But you're dead, and my love for him is deepening
